The Inspired by Painters series at Araluen Flower Studio pairs floristry with the study of artists whose work shares something essential with the way flowers are understood here: colour as emotion, form as intention, and nature as the primary source. For this edition, the palette is Van Gogh's — warm yellows, dusty violets, earthy ochres, and the deep green that runs through nearly everything he made.

Each participant composes an arrangement using a curated selection of fresh botanicals chosen to reflect the texture and density found in his paintings. No formal training is required. The session is structured to guide you through the process — from studying the reference works to selecting stems, building form, and finishing the arrangement — but the outcome is always your own.

You leave with the arrangement you made, printed reference materials, and a clearer sense of how to look at both paintings and flowers.
